(June 8, 2012) – Yesterday, Ideal Plumbing, Heating, Air & Electrical was awarded 1st Place for the 2012 Heilbron Award. Ideal earned 1st place in the small business category, for businesses having 50 or fewer employees. The Heilbron Award recognizes San Diego companies that exemplify the pay it forward spirit.

The Heilbron Award celebrates companies that exhibit high ethical standards and a commitment to service. It honors companies that utilize their professional skill set to excel and enrich the company itself and others in the community.
Ideal’s philanthropic efforts are not aimed at one single project, but take an all-embracing approach. Ideal demonstrates the pay it forward spirit primarily through pro bono work, community giving, and school support across San Diego County. Notable projects include partnering with the Make-A-Wish Foundation to grant 17-year old Tatyana her wish: a complete kitchen makeover, and pro bono work at Mission Trails Regional Park, Mt. Helix Park, Allied Gardens Little League, and Indian Rock Boy Scout Camp at Mataguay Scout Ranch.
The awards were presented by Rotary Club 33 and the San Diego Business Journal. The Heilbron Award was named after, Carl Heilbron, Club 33’s first President in 1911. An independent panel of judges reviewed the nominations and selected honorees.
