Ideal Named Finalist, 2012 San Diego BBB Torch Award

 

December 4, 2012 – Ideal was honored as a Finalist for the 2012 Torch Award by the BBB of San Diego.

The BBB Torch Award honors local businesses and non-profit organizations that demonstrate excellence in ethical business practices with their employees, vendors, customers and the local community.

Each year, thousands of U.S. businesses are entered in local Torch Award competitions conducted by BBBs in every region of the country.

Ideal Plumbing, Heating, Air & Electrical was selected as a finalist in the 25-to-99-employee category.

“Ideal is more than just a company that installs and repairs your plumbing, heating, air or electrical,” said Don Teemsma, President/CEO of Ideal.  “We believe in service excellence, demonstrated in high moral standards and business ethics since the company’s inception.”

Ideal works closely with the community to make a positive social impact.  Ideal’s philanthropic efforts are not aimed at one single project, but take an all-embracing approach. Ideal demonstrates the pay it forward spirit primarily through pro-bono work, community giving and school support across San Diego County. 

Ideal has worked with many community organizations, such as Make-A-Wish Foundation of San Diego, Lake Murray Playground Project, The San Diego Food Bank, Mt. Helix Park Foundation, Mission Trails Regional Park Foundation, Allied Gardens Little League, San Diego Rotary Club 33, Allied Gardens Kiwanis, Boy Scouts of America Camp Mataguay and  Mission San Diego de Alcalá.
