About three years ago Ideal managed to knock out “two birds with one stone.” We were brainstorming strategies for funding our philanthropic efforts when low and behold we found the solution: scrap metal.
In our industry we come across a substantial amount of scrap metal, old appliances, and outdated piping. We collect a lot of it, sort it and send it off for recycling. The money we receive from recycled scrap metal helps us fund our community, pro bono work, and schools across San Diego County. We refer to our program as Benevolent Recycling.
