Ideal Supports our Troops

Being family-owned and operated since 1960, Ideal Plumbing, Heating, Air & Electrical treats its employees and customers as part of its own family.

When one of our customers came to us with a special request, we were eager to help.

Our long-time customer, Holly, visited Ideal’s Allied Gardens showroom. She approached the counter and spoke with Jim in our parts department. Holly explained that her daughter Anna is in the military and currently deployed in Afghanistan. Anna and her team live in close quarters, and space is very limited. All combat gear must be immediately available at any time day and night, which can be challenging to arrange with such minimal space.

Holly asked Jim if we had any parts around the shop that could be used to raise the bed. Jim browsed the shop and happily cut some 4” plastic PVC pipe posts to raise the bed. We of course also sent along some Ideal stickers.

Holly shipped off the package to Anna, and a few weeks later, Holly Emailed this great photo. Anna is using the space under her bed as the storage, combat gear immediately close at hand. When the box of “bed risers” arrived, Anna’s teammates were truly impressed by the innovative use of the plumbing parts.
