Community Helping Hands Food Drive brings in 6500-7000 lbs. of Food
Thank you to our incredible neighbors for your generosity! Your food and monetary donations made the Community Helping Hands Food Drive a success. In total, the food drive collected around 6500-7000 lbs of food. Ideal Plumbing brought in nearly 2000 lbs of food, and about 1/3 of those 2000 lbs came from Cub Scout Pack 975 in San Carlos. All contributions were donated to the San Diego Food Bank.
The Community Helping Hands Food Drive was a collaborative effort to replenish the food supply at the San Diego Food Bank. Participating organizations included the Boy Scouts of America, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and community members throughout San Diego county.
